Travis Kelce, whether he plays next year or not, has entered regression. The star athlete is nearing the end of his career and it’s high time that the Chiefs start developing a new heir to fix their broken dynasty.
There are a few options that the Kansas City Chiefs wouldn’t need to travel and search for. Noah Gray and Jared Wiley are two in-house options that the Chiefs currently hold. Although Gray showed some promise, he’s entering his fifth year and he wouldn’t be able to lead the offensive line like Travis Kelce did. On the other hand, Wiley had his rookie year cut short and is yet to show any promising game.
The draft class and the free agency don’t seem that great, meaning that the Chiefs need to develop talent. Juwan Johnson of the New Orleans Saints is one of the best fits for the Chiefs. Although Mike Gesicki and Zach Ertz is also entering free agency, both have proved that they fit best with their current teams.
Tyler Warren, is one of the best in the upcoming draft but he’s expected to be selected in the top ten picks. The Chiefs could be in a puddle to figure out the tight end successor and bulking up on wide outs could be the best solutions in the time being.
