Caitlin Clark has opened up on how her chat with Taylor Swift went when they spent time together at a Kansas City Chiefs game last season.
The two women, stars in their respective fields, were spotted sitting together when the Chiefs played the Houston Texans in the playoffs back in January. Apart from stardom, they share a love for Kansas City, although Swift is relatively new as a fan, given that her affections only blossomed when she began dating Travis Kelce.
Caitlin and Taylor were seen chatting, sharing laughs, and even a hug. The outing turned out a good one as the Chiefs won 23-14 to advance to the AFC Championship Game.
With several months having passed since the sighting, Clark spoke to ESPN’s Alexa Philippou about what it meant to her to watch a game at Arrowhead sitting next to Taylor Swift, also pointing out that they’re regular human beings who talk about the same stuff everyone else does.
“I think what people don’t always realize about people with a certain spotlight, whether it’s her, whether it’s me, whether it’s another professional athlete or a pop star, we’re real people,” Clark said. “We’re just having normal conversations as any other person in Arrowhead Stadium that night. She loves the Chiefs just as much as I do. I’m talking football with her.”

Caitlin also praised Taylor’s personality, claiming she’s “probably one of the sweetest people I’ve ever been around.”
“And everybody says that when you meet her, but it’s really true,” she added. “She just treats everybody with the same amount of kindness, and her family was great.”
As for the Chiefs, they did make it back to the Super Bowl in pursuit of that three-peat they so badly wanted. But Taylor had to watch them lose to an inspired Philadelphia Eagles team, this time without the WNBA guard.
Fans will be looking forward to more sightings of Caitlin Clark and Taylor Swift in the future. Perhaps they’ll attend another Chiefs game together in 2025, as they really did seem to hit it off.
