Brittney Griner has been living her life the best way she can since she was released from a Russian prison.
The WNBA veteran spent most of 2022 locked up in Russia after getting arrested at an airport on drug charges. She was only released after the United States Government agreed to a prisoner swap that saw arms dealer Viktor Bout go the other way.
Her perspective on life and the United States would change, especially when she was seen holding back tears during the national anthem after helping Team USA beat France 67-66, marking an eighth-straight gold for the American women’s basketball team.
The longtime WNBA star previously expressed some disdain toward the national anthem, but those days are long gone.
These days, Griner is getting ready to suit up for a new team for the first time in her career.
Ahead of the WNBA season, a video surfaced from when she played in the Unrivaled league.
What Brittney Griner was speaking about was irrelevant, as fans couldn’t take their eyes and ears off what was coming out of her mouth and how it sounded.
She has a notably deep voice.
